Colombian Humberto Pernett is a genius of the fusion of elements of Colombian Caribbean rhythms and electronic music.

His innovative and creative force has made him a recognized artist of Colombian folklore, infected since he was a child by the music of the Barranquilla carnival. I have known him since 2003 when he was beginning his musical relationship with the well-known British soundman Richard Blair, soul of Peter Gabriel's mix, who had come to Colombia in love with its variety of rhythms and invited him to be part of the successful band Sidestepper, remembered for its success in the United States, Mexico and Europe.

Pernett's career is covered with unforgettable hits: "Musica Pa' Pick Up", 'Huele a Mariacachafa', 'Caribbean Raver'. "Cumbia Galactica", "El Mago", the unforgettable album "The Caribbean Computer", which was selected as album of the year 2012 in Japan by the specialized magazine in World Music.

During his visit to Japan, Pernett is guest of honor at the "Sukiyaki Meets the World Festival" festival that takes place in the region of Nanto in southern Japan, and each year brings together great artists and invites them to collaborations and workshops. Pernett collaborated with Japanese musicians Sakaki Mango and Nohiriko Yamakita with whom he created the project "Sukiyaki Denki Box" where they mixed music from African, Japanese and Colombian traditions, all supported by Humberto Pernett's unique way of programming music with synthesizers.
